Video: Calculating Your Credit Score

Printer-Friendly Format

This video deals with the materials that are used in getting a credit score figured out. These are all materials that are used by the three major credit reporting agencies. Much of it is based on payment histories including how often a person pays off one's debts and if they are paid off on time. Data on how far ago payments were made will also be covered in a payment history. A payment history that is current will be worth more.

Information on the types of credit that one has and the history of those credit options will be covered. Revolving credit history is covered in that it will help to have more open credit in order to get a better credit rating. The ability to keep revolving credit sources open will be important to see as well. Having a variety of relationships with other lenders can help as well.
